The Village of Brewster Police Department would like to remind parents and guardians of the laws regarding electric bicycles, electric scooters, and electric dirt bikes.
⚠️ Under New York State law, children under the age of 16 are prohibited from operating e-bikes and e-scooters on public roads. Additionally, electric dirt bikes and off-road e-motos are NOT street legal at any age.
With the growing popularity of these vehicles, we encourage parents to familiarize themselves with the laws before purchasing one for their child.
