BOARD OF TRUSTEES
PUBLIC HEARING

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, that the Board of Trustees of the Village of Brewster will hold a Public Hearing on Proposed Local Law No. 4 of 2026 pertaining to updating Chapter 250-17 and Chapter 250-23 of the Village Code Parking Rules and Regulations. Copies of the proposed local law will be available on the Village website, www.brewstervillage-ny.gov, and at Village Hall. The Public Hearing will take place during the Village Board Meeting of February 4, 2026, at 7:30 P.M. at Village Hall, 50 Main Street, Brewster, NY 10509. At said Public Hearing, all interested persons shall be heard on the subject thereof. The Board of Trustees will make every effort to ensure that the Public Hearing is accessible to persons with disabilities. Anyone requiring special assistance and/or reasonable accommodations should contact the Village Clerk. Anyone wishing to speak may do so.

AMENDMENT TO
BREWSTER VILLAGE CODE
LOCAL LAW #4 of 2026
BE IT ENACTED by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Brewster, Putnam
County, New York, as follows:
Section 1. Chapter 250, Section 250-17 and Section 250-23 are hereby amended
to read as follows:

VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC
ARTICLE III
Parking, Standing and Stopping
§ 250-17. Parking prohibited at all times.
No person shall park a vehicle at any time upon any of the streets or parts thereof described in
this section unless otherwise posted or metered.

§ 250-23. Time Limit Parking.
No person shall park for longer than the time limit shown in this section at any time between the
hours listed in said section, of any day, unless otherwise indicted, upon any of the streets or parts
of the streets described in said section. The deposit of additional coins to secure parking in
excess of the maximum time permitted is prohibited. Upon termination of the limited time of
parking, the vehicle must be moved a minimum of 150 feet from its previous location.

Section 2. This local law shall take effect immediately upon filing with the
